Father Martins sends his son Paderi on a mission to seduce a woman called Uduak, make her fall in love with him and then ruin her before his ultimate goal which is to kill her. He also entices one of her friends Aisha, with money to help his evil plan come to fruition.
Desmond is in love with Ufoma and will not allow her to be with his friend in peace. He spends his time interrupting his former friend’s business meetings, causing scenes in public and continually pestering Ufoma. He can not seem to get over the betrayal that he feels his friend has committed. There is a history between the friends. And this is not the first time that trust between the two has been broken.
Two couples find themselves in relationships of circumstance and convenience rather than love. Kelvin ends up marrying his wife Dora after she tells him that she is pregnant after casually sleeping together a few times. He does not love her but wants to face up to his responsibilities as a man and make an “honest woman” of her. His best friend Nelson knows that he is pining for his one true love that he has recently split up with and advises him against the marriage seeing it as a recipe for disaster.
Fred has delusions of grandeur and has taken to calling himself “Big Fredo.” The only thing big about Fred are his lies. Fredo uses a story about having come from the city and having a container lost on the high seas to seduce many many girls in the village. He promises them that when his container arrives he will bath them in riches and amazingly they pretty much all fall for it.

We see Uli’s childlike amazement at all things technological. When a car goes past the house she hides behind the gateman because the sounds and speeds are unfamiliar to her. She is scared but at the same time in awe. We see the prince begin to take notice of Uli, he sees that she is there everyday watching the procession of cars go past. We also see how the Prince despite his royal background is a very humble man.
Raj and Ciara, the poor orphan the girl who saves him are estranged after the hospital incident, although there is not a moment that he is not thinking about her, wanting to find her and thank her for saving his life. He does eventually find her and they begin dating. Whilst Beyonce is falling in love with Raj (pronounced Rush by most in the film), he at the same time is declaring his love for Ciara and even goes so far as to break her virginity. He also announces his intention to marry her, all the while juggling the two women.
