The leader of the Twilight Sisters is Soso. Soso is in conflict with her boyfriend Joe’s sister, Angel. Angel is continuously battling with Soso to leave her brother alone. She believes that Soso is a bad influence. In a bid to make Angel’s life a misery Soso enlists the help of Charles, a known ladies man. His job is to seduce Angel, make her fall in love and then dump her. The plan backfires and Charles and Angel fall madly and deeply in love, much to the chagrin of Soso.
Desmond and Juliet are a born again married couple. Eucharia Anunobi is Mrs Daniels, the meddling mother of Juliet and the mother in law of Desmond. She comes and goes within her daughter’s home as she pleases demanding attention at will and picking on Juliet’s husband for the sins that were committed against her by her own husband. Juliet’s concerns are not just kept in the home and she even tells her friend that her mother is causing unrest in her home but picking on both her and her husband.
Benny played by Emeka Ike is known as Gameboy by all his pals. This is because of the skilful way in which he breaks women’s hearts by enticing them, playing with their emotions and then dumping them once the game is over for him. In the first scene we see Benny being confronted by two girls who are both under the impression that they bear the girlfriend tag. We see each girl demand that he claim them and get rid of the other. He, however rejects the BOTH of them and then orders them out of his house. Immediately afterwards we see him spitting game to another chick on the phone. What will it take for Benny to realise the error of his ways?
Ikenna and Judith live in the same village and are childhood sweethearts. They are split up physically for the first time when Ikenna follows Judith’s aunt to Lagos to go and make some money. Judith’s mother is happy that he has gone as she has a long standing feud with his mother. In his absence she tries to put her daughter off Ikennaby telling her that she has been abandoned and trying to encourage her to see other men.
Igwe and his wife treat their driver like trash berating him for every action that he makes. He is afforded NO respect at all. After much abuse and humiliation the driver reaches the end of his tether and on this way to taking the Igwe’s daughter to school decides to go off track. This is pay back. He wants revenge and this is the only way he can think to get back at the Igwe and his wife.
This film is about a family torn apart by sheer greed. Thompson has bitterness in his heart after finding out that his mother had her subsequent children with men other than his father, and as such despises his mother, brother and sister. His main aim is to kill off his grandfather and acquire his wealth. He employs the help of a “fake nurse” to do this.
Susana is Esther’s “best friend”. Quotations must be used here as her actions don’t convey that of someone who is a best friend. Susana spreads the news of Esther’s miscarriage with glee declaring her a “witch” and a “ritualist.” She curses her to the point of calling her a gold digger and skin bleacher.
The story starts with a guy, Mike being stood up on his wedding day by his bride, Sandra and continues in the present interspersed with flashbacks. From the groom being jilted on the altar the film fastforwards to another wedding and we find the jilted groom from the first scene attending another man’s wedding, his friend Ken. Surprise surprise the bride at this new wedding is the bride that he was jilted by *SHOCK HORROR*
