this is a brilliant movie, so would watch twice against. the ending could have been a bit better though- what was all that about naeto covering his face like some arabic sheikh at the fashion show? did it not occur to either of these two women to get in touch with naeto's family after he supposedly died? naeto's friend (roger I think) was such a bad actor!

Watched this movie a while back.Genny did an outstanding job playing the ice queen.From her style of dress to her facial expressions to her demeanour to her ramrod straight posture signifying the stick up her butt.lol.

Majid as ususal killed it too.Very intense actor.I love it.Impressive performances and great chemistry btw them.

Just like you,I also didnt buy the living in ABJ without mom knowing.Did mom never try to call her in all that time or what?

Generally I think it was a really good one anyway.I quite enjoyed it.

The section of the film running from the big birthday party Ella threw for her mother to when she visits the bridal shop, is the best I have ever seen in a Nollywood/Gollywood movie. The scene in the Abjua hotel room would have been outstanding, but the sound engineer/editor seriously let them down, because you are pretty much forced to make up the dialog for yourself. However, the director, script-writer and actors are at their absolute best here. Gene and Majid's body language and chemistry is so natural – totally convincing, with none of the over-acting we usually tolerate. You can see Neto's heart breaking as Jessie makes it clear to him that nothing more can ever happen between them…. (Although I agree that Geneivieve seems to holds back from Majid in other scenes when she could have shown a bit more passion for his character.)

Despite all the serious flaws in this movie mentioned elsewhere in this thread, it's definitely one to watch. The rating was very fair.

Prior to watching SS…used to watch ‘The Proposal’ (American – staring Sarah Bullock) almost everyday (plz don’t ask me why…just go figure) Anyways, SS torn me from my former love…I was captivated by the almost perfect acting, the chemistry between Genevieve & Majid (Love them together), the suspense…most especially, THE SCANDAL!!! I could not believe that I was all for the secret affair between Jesse and Naeto… Gosh! that must be the evil part of me rearing its head… For me, Jesse and Naeto’s love situation, was an unfinished affair. Naetogenuinely loved Jesse. As for Naeto wanting to marry ’Ella’ …I believe that was Naetosettling when he was unable to get the woman he fell in love with – Jesse. We’ve all been there & done that…inclusive moi! Thanx Nolly for the review

I think the ending was ok since people say nollywood movies are always predictable(don't agree though) so now they end it in a way you wont expect. Nice movie with a very good picture quality and an excellent cast Genny,Majid,Chelsea,Ebele Okaro and Uche Jombo not forgeting the gateman.(he was soo funny)
