Susan’s boyfriend Kola gets caught cheating and when confronted by her denies her in front of his other girl and ends up beating her. She is saved from a further beating by his friend Chuks. Chuks and Susan become firm friends after he approaches her for help with his schoolwork on the advise of his school mentor. Despite his initial insults towards her and bravado in front of his friends they soon fall in love. There is however something lurking that threatens to break their union…

Reverend James tries to keep his home his home in good order, however his daughter, Rebecca is a thorn in his side. He believes that her seemingly wayward behaviour is putting his position in jeopardy while at the same time she seeks freedom from what she considers to be his”rudimentary religious beliefs.” At the beginning of the movie we see Rebecca scaling the compound wall after returning home late one night after being out with a man.

Mercy Johnson plays a woman called Mosun and Rita Dominic plays a woman called Preye. They are best friends from childhood into adulthood. The root of Preye’s wild and promiscuous behaviour is the sexual abuse she endured as a child in the hands of her uncle. It is as though by taking control of her sexuality and becoming a seductress in such a dominant way she is trying to wash away that feeling of being powerless as a child. By contrast Mosun is the complete opposite to Preye, disgusted by the idea of casual sex and dowdily dressed to downplay her sexuality. She too has been a victim of child sexual abuse at the hands of her step-father.

From the outset of this film I was bored, but still I persevered. The fist 15 minutes was boring and confusing. We see a girl going for a job being bribed by a doorman that will not let her into the building otherwise and we see a girl accusing her mama of favouring her son over her daughter.
