Just the other day I tweeted “Where did Blessing Effiom go?” I liked her in Before and After the Vow and thought it was weird the way she just disappeared from the Nollywood scene, and then lo and behold I come across this trailer on YouTube showing behind the scenes footage of an upcoming Nollywood movie written and produced by Blessing Effiom. This movie is directed by the legendary Teco Benson. Starring in the movie is Kalu Ikeagwu, OC Ujeke of White Waters fame (yaay), Chelsea Eze from Silent Scandal, Stella Damasus Aboderin (We have missed you oo), some others I haven’t seen before Keira Hewatch, Okey Uzoechi (Fine boy no pimples) and Kehinde Bankole. The film is scheduled to be released both in The United States and Nigeria in the third quarter of this year.
Before The Vow & After The Vow
Before the Vow tells a bride and groom’s story the day before the wedding. We are switched between two scenarios; the groom and his groomsman and the bride and her bridesmaid. The fact that the groom picks up a prostitute the night before his wedding and the fact that the bride seems more excited by her future husband’s groomsman suggests things may not be as rosy as they seem.
