Trouble brews when oga played by Ecow Smith Asante calls home to have the maid played by Ini Edo tell him that he is in his bedroom with his wife (Nadia Buari). He asks her to go to the room with a knife and take whoever is in the room with his wife hostage. It seems to be a misunderstanding as when the maid goes to stab the man in the room it turns out to be her oga. So who was it that called?
Nollywood Movies Review: Genevieve Nnaji plays a femme fatale called Isabella that goes by many names to many different men. She appears sweet and innocent but underneath that exterior is a steely hustler who will go to any length to make money whether its stealing diamonds, organising a hit or trafficking children’s organs. She alongside her grandfather and Archbishop Theodore played by Olu Jacobs front a children’s charity called the Wellspring foundation which they use to traffick children’s organs amidst other criminal and immoral activity.
Maxwell meets Jenny when he runs her over in his taxi. He takes her of her until she is released from hospital and from there a friendship blossoms. Max falls on hard times and she promises to help him out as long as he promises that their friendship will last for eternity. He makes the promise but her definition of friendship does not match his and so it remains to be seen whether or not he will keep the promise and what the repercussions will be if he does not.
Praman has returned from abroad to start studying at a university in Ghana where her mother lives with her uncle. She lives in an isolated hostel away from her friends, preferring the serenity as opposed to being around a lot of people. Trouble starts when Nill takes a liking to her and she rejects him. Refusing to take no for an answer he is determined that he have Praman by any means necessary, and if that means by force then so be it.
Frank, Leslie and Max are best friends. Leslie played by Ecow Smith Asante and given the title “Mummy’s Boy” is at loggerheads with his mother over taking over his father’s business. Max played by Prince David Osei and given the title “Mr Smooth” is constantly fighting with his girlfriend Mabel, played by Martha Ankomah who is titled “The Nag” because she wants to get married but he is not “ready for that level of commitment.” Frank, played by Majid Michel and given the title “desperado” is back in Ghana having been recently from Sweden after dabbling in the drugs trade. A central character in the movie is Leslie’s mother Catherine Cole, and she is given the title “She Who Must Be Obeyed,” and so called for reasons we found out later in the plot.
Chief Sarpong is married with two sons and a daughter. At the very beginning we see him getting caught cheating with his secretary by his wife. We find out that not long after Chief is caught having the affair his wife dies. He then remarries only two months later. When his sons return home from abroad all hell breaks loose as they take out their anger on their stepmother and sister.
Jim is a playboy whose sole goal is to find a rich woman to marry so that he can spend the rest of his days freeloading. Along the way there are casualties, which he discards without a care. Charlene has sworn off men after being raised by a man that showed her no love solely due to the fact that she was born female and considered a curse as he was the first male in the family to have borne a female rather than male child. She has vowed never to trust or allow a man close to her to avoid being hurt the way her father hurt her.
