Tamuno is in love with a jobless rasta that she met at university called Bruno, but is betrothed to Akan, somebody that her parents consider decent, successful and respectable. She is not in love with Akan but nevertheless plans on marrying him to please her parents, and not get cut off from them financially as they have threatened should she jeopardise her relationship with Akan. The wedding is planned but two days before the wedding Tamuno gets cold feet and runs of to elope with Bruno leaving her friend Tonye to break the news to him.

Becky returns to Nigeria from the UK to open an antiques shop. She enlists the help of her cousin Emerald who has recently graduated from a Nigerian university in Business Administration. One day they go to purchase stock when Emerald comes across an emerald ring. A woman in the shop sees Emerald admiring the ring and seems intent on her having the ring, despite Emerald’s refusals….

Annabel is labelled a “city gallivanting and unfocused daughter” by her father who has become perturbed by her late nights and scanty dress. Her father is so concerned that he goes as far as to confiscate her car keys and then hire thugs to harass her every time that she leaves the house to make her want to retreat to the sanctity of the house as opposed to the streets…

Ernest and Theresa are madly in love, engaged and about to be married. During their engagement they find out that they both possess the AS genotype which means that if they have children there is the chance that they could be a sickler. They are told in no uncertain terms by Ernest’s father that they must stop seeing each other as the health of their future children is of greater importance than the love that they share.

The film opens with Olivia, the madam of the house presenting her four servants with a pay off check of 6 million naira. We learn that since her mother, who employed the servants died she has been alone with only the servants in the house. We also learn that she has sickle cell anaemia and may be soon to die, hence the reason for the pay off to the house staff. Olivia claims to want to do “something else” with her life, not feeling fulfilled with her current state.

The story line in this film was just confusing and messed up. The basic premise is that a guy called Kofi played by Ofori meets a girl called Abena played by White over the telephone by calling a wrong number. They fall in love and start a telephone relationship. Her roommate Adwoa played by Appiah is jealous of her “perfect” (scoff scoff) relationship with this telephone guy and tries to muscle in and snatch him away.

Tracey and Nnamdi were born on the same day to parents that are very close friends. Their parents promised each other when they were babies that they would be married in the future. During university they become engaged to be married. Inseparable from childhood Nnamdi promises Tracey that they will marry after graduation and complteting Youth Service.
