A Cry For Justice

Nonye played by Jackie Appiah is from a poor background and when her mother dies she resorts to runs to put herself and her younger brothers through school.Six years after first resorting to turning tricks things are looking good. Her brother Ugo has just finished his NYSC, her other brother is in school and they are all living together comfortably until fate strikes. Jackie goes to see one of her clients and arrives just after he has been shot dead. The police come and find her there just after she has arrived and take her in on suspicion of murder. It is by luck that she is released on a cleaner’s eyewitness testimony and all is well again, that is until her brother Ugo brings home the girl he wants to marry, a runs girl that Nonye knows from the scene. She wants to speak up and warn him but to do so will be revealing her own past.

Amara played by Tonto Dikeh is her mother’s main worry. She is jobless, disrespectful and will not listen to reason. Her sister ChiChi played by Eve Esin on the other hand is the exact opposite. Not only does she work long hours as a nurse but then she comes home to do the cooking and other household chores. The concern for Amara increases when she decides to go and live with her friend Nkiru in the city. They are dead set against it but cannot do anything to stop the stubborn and strong willed Amara. She ends up in the city but life brings her than she bargained for.

Onus, played by Mike Ezuruonye is part of an armed robbery gang. One day he is kidnapped while walking through some dense forest land. His kidnapper is a vagrant woman, Diana played by Ini Edo who lives there in isolation and has made the forest her home. She is menacing and has a tough and steely exterior, Onus however is able to break through her defences and seduce her. In seducing her he gains his freedom and she willingly releases him. Onus relays the story back to the rest of the gang and impressed with Diana’s bravado they elect to crown her first lady. They believe that her fearlessness and propensity for violence will make her a good fit for the team. Little do they know that her bloodthirsty ways will exceed all their expectations!

Intimidation

Zainab is due a visit home and her friend Aisha is accompanying her. Despite her father making reservations for the both of them to fly into Abuja, Zainab is hell bent on driving instead, seeking “adventure.” Although at first Aisha refuses to join Zainab on the drive to Abuja, she relents and ends up joining her. Zainab definitely finds the adventure that she was looking for. At first they get lost and the car breaks down. They manage to get help with the help of a stranger but when sunset hits and the gas runs out they are left no option but to follow and intimidating stranger into the bush. It remains to be seen whether he is to be trusted or not…
