Ben (Yemi Blaq) and Nora (Nse Ikpi Etim) meet by chance on the roadside. Nora is being verbally abused by a driver after she cannot pay him, claiming that she has lost her purse. Ben sees a lady in distress and comes to her rescue, paying the driver so that he can go away. They swap numbers and very quickly the two are an item and in love. Nora is contemplating marrying Ben, when the status quo is knocked out of kilter. Her ex fiancée resurfaces begging for forgiveness and a chance to right his wrongs. Not only is he begging for a chance but so it her best friend’s brother Tony. What is a girl to do?

They are best friends from childhood into adulthood. The root of Preye’s wild and promiscuous behaviour is the sexual abuse she endured as a child in the hands of her uncle. It is as though by taking control of her sexuality and becoming a seductress in such a dominant way she is trying to wash away that feeling of being powerless as a child. By contrast Mosun is the complete opposite to Preye, disgusted by the idea of casual sex and dowdily dressed to downplay her sexuality. She too has been a victim of child sexual abuse at the hands of her step-father.

Sandra had an accident in the past which we learn causes her to sometimes behave inappropriately. While at the hospital she is mute and not responding to anyone so the doctors suggest moving her to a psychiatric ward. Her mother is distraught and begs her to “pray herself out” of the situation.
