Ben (Yemi Blaq) and Nora (Nse Ikpi Etim) meet by chance on the roadside. Nora is being verbally abused by a driver after she cannot pay him, claiming that she has lost her purse. Ben sees a lady in distress and comes to her rescue, paying the driver so that he can go away. They swap numbers and very quickly the two are an item and in love. Nora is contemplating marrying Ben, when the status quo is knocked out of kilter. Her ex fiancée resurfaces begging for forgiveness and a chance to right his wrongs. Not only is he begging for a chance but so it her best friend’s brother Tony. What is a girl to do?

Dillion and Benita have been married for 4 years but have not managed to have children despite both being checked by the doctors and found to be perfectly fertile. Dillion cannot bear the shame of childlessness any longer and so gives Benita and ultimatum. She has nine months to bear him a child or he will throw her out and bring in a new wife to carry out her wifely “duty.” She is in a tough situation because he has given her this ultimatum yet at the same time does not want to sleep with her? So how on earth is she meant to conceive a child?

Mercy Johnson plays a woman called Mosun and Rita Dominic plays a woman called Preye. They are best friends from childhood into adulthood. The root of Preye’s wild and promiscuous behaviour is the sexual abuse she endured as a child in the hands of her uncle. It is as though by taking control of her sexuality and becoming a seductress in such a dominant way she is trying to wash away that feeling of being powerless as a child. By contrast Mosun is the complete opposite to Preye, disgusted by the idea of casual sex and dowdily dressed to downplay her sexuality. She too has been a victim of child sexual abuse at the hands of her step-father.

We see the prince begin to take notice of Uli, he sees that she is there everyday watching the procession of cars go past. We also see how the Prince despite his royal background is a very humble man.

Camila lives happily with her grandmother until a marriage proposal comes her way by a man called Donald. She does not like him on first meeting as he is arrogant and boastful, however on her grandmothers encouragement agrees to go on a date with him. It is a disaster and her disdain for him is intensified; he continually ogles other women and insists on swigging from a bottle of whisky throughout the date.

Cassandra and Sandra are twins. Cassandra hates Sandra because she “digusts” her. Sandra had an accident in the past which we learn causes her to sometimes behave inappropriately. Cassandra even goes as far as to tell a friend that she feels to kill Sandra because she is so disgusted by her.

A couple, Uche the pastor and Lesley the pastor’s husband are hounded by the Lesley’s mother for “refusing to produce grandchildren.” One day armed robbers break into the home and Uche is raped. While at the hospital she is mute and not responding to anyone so the doctors suggest moving her to a psychiatric ward. Her mother is distraught and begs her to “pray herself out” of the situation.

The film opens with a son throwing a birthday party for his father. The son, David gives a speech on how wonderful his father is and how blessed he is to have such a gather before opening up the floor to allow other to contribute to his praising. Samira, niece to his mother’s housemaid steps in and gives a passionate and animated speech ending in rapturous applause by the other partygoers.

The story starts with a guy, Mike being stood up on his wedding day by his bride, Sandra and continues in the present interspersed with flashbacks. From the groom being jilted on the altar the film fastforwards to another wedding and we find the jilted groom from the first scene attending another man’s wedding, his friend Ken. Surprise surprise the bride at this new wedding is the bride that he was jilted by *SHOCK HORROR*

Stanley has recently graduated from college and is unemployed. His father is constantly on his case about him finding a job. He does find a job with good pay as assistant to a company CEO. The future looks bright; however all that glitters is not gold. Sandra and her older sister are at loggerheads. Sandra is a born again Christian and is determined to expose her sister as receiving funds through dishonourable means to their parents.
