Deaconess Charity played by Patience Ozokwor is a devout Christian who is bringing up her daughter Sandra played by Nuella Njubigo and niece Anukika played by Rachel Okonkwo in the same vein. She is very strict to the point of being overbearing and stifling, allowing the girls no freedom. After a fellow deaconess’s daughter dies after having an abortion she becomes obsessed in making sure that her daughters do not fall prey to any temptations. This means quoting bible verses at them constantly and accusing them of falling into sin without cause. Will she drive the girls away from her with her overbearing attitude?

Nigerian Movie Review: Derek Douglas played by Van Vicker is a huge celebrity actor. A date with one of his female fans Lily played by Bimbo Akintola is the start of big drama. He decides to surprise the fan by turning up to her hotel room to take her out for dinner. Little does he know that the one he chats to on the internet called Miss Spiffy was not in the hotel room that day but rather the maid Gina, played by Mercy Johnson who was trying on her clothes. They end up going on a date together and so starts the web of deceit.

Nollywood Movie Review: Angolo girls tells the story of a bunch of prostitutes headed by the Baroness, played by Chika ike. We see all of their money grabbing, cheating shenanigans. Angolo, means Anglo, which means white. Their main aim is to snare white men, but in the process they will make do with any man that comes along. Stella Maris is married to a white man but brings in her Nigerian lover as a “driver” and sleeps with him willy nilly in her matrimonial home. Baroness explains Angolo to mean “Angolo is a white man who has soooo much money to spend in pounds and dollars.”

Chukwudi lives in the city but his mother has a village girl ready for him to marry called Adaugo so she is not at all happy when she finds out that he is engaged to a city girl, Calista. Chukwudi under pressure from his mother to come home and meet Adaugo and marry her decides to move his wedding to Calista forward and decides to bring her to the village to meet his family. Calista is excited at the prospect of meeting her future mother in law and can talk of nothing else beforehand. The feeling, however is not mutual and on introduction the pair get off to a rocky start. Can Calista win over her future mother in law?

Ignatius and Kenneth are Princes from a royal polygamous family. Ignatius’ mother is the first wife Head Queen Onyinye, while Kenneth’s mother, Ozuluonye is the King’s second wife. Kenneth and Ignatius are as close as full brothers as well as cherishing each other’s mothers as their own. Onyine is not happy with this close relationship between the boys and is intent on causing discord by planting seeds of jealousy into her son’s head to make him want to compete with his brother rather than working alongside him. Her manipulation is successful and very soon Ignatius is well under his mother’s control.
