Lola, played by Omoni Oboli is a free spirit who is fed up of her parents constantly comparing her to her late sister Kemi. There is great fiction in their household because of this. Ngozi, played by Stella Damasus is a student who is struggling to support her mother and younger siblings. Her friend persuades her into joining her in town doing runs. She also embarks on a mission to exert revenge on the person that plunged her previously wealthy household into poverty. A teenage girl played by Sylvia Oluchy is being abused by her uncle.

Two Brides And A Baby

Just the other day I tweeted “Where did Blessing Effiom go?” I liked her in Before and After the Vow and thought it was weird the way she just disappeared from the Nollywood scene, and then lo and behold I come across this trailer on YouTube showing behind the scenes footage of an upcoming Nollywood movie written and produced by Blessing Effiom. This movie is directed by the legendary Teco Benson. Starring in the movie is Kalu Ikeagwu, OC Ujeke of White Waters fame (yaay), Chelsea Eze from Silent Scandal, Stella Damasus Aboderin (We have missed you oo), some others I haven’t seen before Keira Hewatch, Okey Uzoechi (Fine boy no pimples) and Kehinde Bankole. The film is scheduled to be released both in The United States and Nigeria in the third quarter of this year.

The overall message was good and it was a positive thing that they were trying to bring HIV into the open forum, but I was highly disappointed by the film, having hyped it up in my mind before watching it. The scaremongering was ridiculous.
