Work shy party animal Olumide is employed as the managing director for his mother’s company, Da Costa holdings. His mother fears that he is following his reckless father’s footsteps and worries hugely about his future, as she knows that she is terminally ill and will not always be around to look after him. A charity benefit brings an ambitious young lady to Olumide’s mother’s attention. They build up a great rapport and after inviting her in for an interview she is made finance director. The company’s purse strings are tightened and lavish spenders Olumide and his calculating girlfriend Sabina start to resent the new finance director for questioning the way that they extravagantly blow the company’s money. Olumide concocts a plan to ensure that he has full control of his mother’s money that goes so horribly wrong.
‘I’ll Take My Chances’ the much anticipated blockbuster produced by Emem Isong & Ini Edo,will be screened & premiering at the Silverbird Cinemas, Lagos on February 24, 2012. The movie stars the talented Ini Edo and former Mr Nigeria, Bryan Okwara as well as other leading acts like Canadian born dancer, Ashleigh Clark, the late Sam Efe Loco, Jide Kosoko, Biola Williams, Lilian Ini Ikpe and many others. Ably supported by a retinue of professional dancers and together, I’ll take My Chances is a magical story of dance, drama, love and intrigue. This movie is cultural fiesta that showscases the best that Nigeria and indeed Africa has to offer and it is all beautifully woven in this movie. Parts of the movie were shot in Lagos as well as scenic areas in Cross River and Akwa Ibom state. Directing was done by Desmond Elliot, and the screenplay was written by Kehinde Joseph, Uduak Oguamanam & Bola Aduwo.
Bernard (Desmond Elliot) and Ike (Joseph Benjamin) are friends and partners at BlueQuest a firm that they run together. They have a friendly rivalry when it comes to picking up girls. Ike and Bernard make a bet that if Ike sleeps with Delphine (Mona Lisa Chinda) a gorgeous divorcee that has sworn off men he will get 5 percent of Bernards’s company shares and if not he will give up 5 percent of his own shares which means that the person who wins will have a controlling share of the company. Ike enlists the help of employee Mimi (Uche Jombo) to search all the major networking sites to find Delphine so that he can conquer her and win the bet. Things are made even more difficult when Bernard throws a spanner in the works by telling Delphines’s friend Tena (Nse Ikpi Etim) that Ike is planning to bed her and that she should beware. Ike has ten days to accomplish the mission, who will win?

Banky Da Silva played by Ramsey Noah is involved in a serious car accident and ends up in the hospital with amnesia where Dr Dammmy played by Nse Ikpe Etim is his doctor. Doctor and patient grow very close to the point where they are soon involved in a torrid love affair. It is to the extent that when he is released from the hospital the doctor becomes a regular visitor at his home, cooking his meals and keeping him company. Halle Davis played by Ini Edo is an out of work desperate for work actress who goes on audition after audition and ends up landing a lead role after claiming her fiancé is Banky and with the promise that the will bankroll the whole movie. How will she get herself out of the big mess and web of lies she has entangled herself in?
Ekaete is 18 and has not been to secondary school in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state because her family is poor. She dreams of going to Lagos to become a housegirl. Her dreams come true when Mrs Uzomma comes to the village with promises of setting her up in the fashion business after she works for her as a housegirl for a year. Nollywood Movies Review: Genevieve Nnaji plays Zara Williams a hard nosed workaholic who is always single because she is too busy for love. Her friends are determined to find her a man and set her up with a guy played by Desmond Elliot, a self centred arrogant bore who they deceive her into having dinner with. After this failed attempted she swears herself off dating men her friends set her up with however ends up turning to them in desperation after needed a date for a work Valentines Ball. She goes to the ball with Tony, played by Majid Michel but everything is not what it appears to be.
Chidera, played by Tonto Dikeh is a brilliant student who lives with two friends Cynthia and Bukky on campus, played by Bhaira Mcwhizu and Zainab Boardman. While her friends are more interested in socialising than facing their studies, Chidera is the total opposite. As soon as she meets Brian, played by Van Vicker in class he becomes infatuated by both her beauty and brilliant mind.
